<\/a>September 24 – Arrive in Vegas.\u00a0 After clearing customs and picking up the rental car, I\u2019ll make my way to the Las Vegas Welcome Sign<\/a>.\u00a0 Here I need the help of the internet.\u00a0 There is a webcam<\/a> at the sign.\u00a0 Once I\u2019m at the sign, I\u2019ll post on my special Twitter page<\/a> and Trackfiles Facebook page<\/a> that I\u2019m there.\u00a0 If possible, could someone please go to the webcam page<\/a> and capture a picture.\u00a0 Then upload the picture to Twitpic or whatever photo sharing service you use and post the link.\u00a0 Think of it as my first souvenir photo!<\/p>\n From there, I\u2019m off to my motel to check in then off to an In-N-Out Burger<\/a> for the \u201cIcenrye and PGgeodude Meet and Greet<\/a>\u201d event.\u00a0 So if you\u2019re a Vegas area cacher, come on down!\u00a0 PGgeodude and I would like to meet you.<\/p>\n September 25-26 – Check out Vegas and the ET Power Trail geocaches<\/a>.<\/p>\n September 27-29 – Visit the Grand Canyon<\/a> and area.<\/p>\n September 30 – October 1 – Travel to Petaluma California<\/a>.<\/p>\n October 2 – Take in TWiT<\/a> at the Brickhouse<\/a>.\u00a0 I hope to have a chat with Leo.\u00a0 Watch TWiT live to see if I make it on!<\/p>\n October 3-7 No set plans yet.\u00a0 I hope to take in some Bay area attractions then work my way back to Vegas with a quick stop in Ely, Nevada<\/a>.\u00a0 What\u2019s in Ely you ask?\u00a0 Well, I\u2019m a fan of the British show \u201cTop Gear<\/a>\u201d and a couple of years ago, they stopped in at a local restaurant <\/a>which is now a tourist attraction.\u00a0 That, and they have good food according to every review I\u2019ve read.<\/p>\n October 8 – Back home.<\/p>\n So of course being a web geek that I am, I intend to take tons of pictures and upload them to my Flickr<\/a> and SmugMug site<\/a>.\u00a0 Also, I\u2019ve set up a special Twitter<\/a> page that all my\u00a0 Geocaching logs<\/a>, Foursquare<\/a> checkins and maybe even Glympse<\/a> will post to.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a Facebook friend<\/a>, then like the Trackfiles page<\/a> for updates there.\u00a0 And finally, stay tuned to this very blog<\/a> for, hopefully, daily updates.\u00a0 All of this depends on my network access.\u00a0 As a Telus<\/a> customer, even tough I\u2019ll have a \u201cData Roaming\u201d package<\/a>, I\u2019ll still be charged $1.00\/meg!\u00a0 Ridiculous in my mind, but such is the nature of the beast!
